I give Smok a lot of credit for using a centered 510 pin on this mod. You can say what you want about the Smok mods but the one thing you have to give them credit for is they do listen to the consumer. Today we will see Mag and older kit H-Priv 2 for you to review.
1. SMOK Mag Kit
The 510 on the Smok Mag kit is no surprise. It is a quality 510 connection that most of us have come to expect from Smok. The 510 plate on it is a bit raised towards the back of the mod. I don’t know why the plate does not sit exactly flush but in all honesty, it really hasn’t been an issue.
Aesthetically though, it is bothersome. All my atomizers have sat flush on this plate despite the fact that the back part of it has a significant raise compared to the front part of the plate. It’s probably because the top plate has a slight angle to it. I would have rather seen Smok make the whole top plate level so everything could sit nice and flush.
Towards the bottom of the back side of the mod, there is some Smok and Mag branding. Underneath the venting towards the top of the mod, there are some cutouts that your thumb fits into beautifully if you wrap your hand around the mod.
The tank included in this mod is one of Smok’s newest tanks, it is the TFV12 Prince. I tend to think of this tank as a really nice compromise between the TFV12 Cloud Beast King and the Big Baby Beast. For me, it provides a vape that is right in the middle of those two tanks.
2. SMOK H Priv 2 Kit
Let’s open this bad boy up and see what we have here. Here we go. Top of the box mod comes off like so. Look at that. That is one beautiful mod. Let’s put it to the side for a second. Let’s put out the foam insert. Of course underneath the foam insert, we have all the books and crap.
Battery safety card, file that to the side, user manual, file that to the side, some tasty silica gel, get rid of that, and we have a warranty card with a QC verification. Get rid of that. One thing I’m a little surprised at, normally with Smok mod, I get a black cable, this one almost looks like a Vaporesso cable. It is really with nice high quality. I like it. Good job on that, Smok.
If you want to take it apart, you simply give the base a twist and you’ll see the coil comes out with the base. This is the .15 ohm coil, good for 50 to 90 watts. Best rating of 60 to 80. Nice big coil, it is plenty of wire in there, plenty of cotton. Threading on the coil is very smooth. I had it in there pretty tight. There is the base right there. Smok always does a good job on their tanks.
